Original 9” X 12” Watercolor of Lincoln Memorial by 1950’s Illustrator Rudolph Schwartz
Rudolph Schwartz was a well respected illustrator in the 1950s. He made advertising illustrations for both Nabisco and Gerber. In his free time he enjoyed landscape painting as well as figure painting. He made several trips to Mexico where he drew and painted Mexican nude models. Some of his landscape works are also from Mexico, however, most are from the NJ/NY area where he worked and lived.
This 9” x 12” watercolor painting on paper is in good vintage condition. This piece is not signed or dated however, it came from a portfolio of original works that were all created in the early to mid 1950s. Thanks so much for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions.
