Vintage Military Uniform Emblem - Charles V of Spain Metal Heraldic Coat of Arms
Charles V of Spain (1500-1588), Holy Roman Emperor.
Has threaded shafts on a wood base to attach to a heavy uniform. Possibly was used on a shako military hat. Or, if you prefer to use some other way, the shafts can be completely removed.
I have included a photo of a heraldic shield of Charles V so that you can see the shield in the center of the coat of arms has the same elements.
Gold colored metal with embossed crest. Black painted background, gold eagle. Two-headed (bi-capitate) eagle. Center shield has red, white and gold,
Measures 2 x 4, the fringed wood base adds about an inch all around. Shafts are 2¾ center. Could be attached to anything like a drawer pull is attached.
