Vintage 1970s Gloria Vanderbilt for Murjani dark denim straight leg jeans. This duo is credited with designing the first denim label for women. It launched in 1976 and their jeans were priced 4 times as much as a pair of Levis. Mohan Murjani believed that they could take jeans from being utilitarian to high end, sexy denim (should fit like the skin on a grape) and that they could be paired with a fur coat - a man after my heart, there is no better way to wear fur!!! Cotton jeans, made in Macau, size 7. Button at waist, front zipper, 2 back pockets, front coin pocket. Excellent vintage condition.
