Original Joshua Turner Collapsible Opera Top Hat

A rare and elegant vintage Joshua Turner of London opera hat, also known as a collapsible or folding top hat. Design & Function: The hat folds flat for easy carrying and storage, then springs open with a flick of the wrist — a classic Victorian innovation. Maker: Marked Joshua Turner of London, a well-respected British hat maker. Condition: Overall good vintage condition. The mechanism works smoothly and the lining is intact. There is a small area of wear/damage on the top rim (clearly shown in photos). Size: No size marked, but measured at approximately 52 cm inside the inner rim, making it a small to medium fit. Material: Black satin finish with original lining and sweatband.
