This 4.75” Hummel figurine is in MINT condition. It bears TMK #3 having been produced in the early 1960s. No chips, mars, repairs, or blemishes. However, there is slight crazing on the base which is not unusual for its age. It was created by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1940 and originally called “High Tenor”.
Sister Marial had a love of children and sketched them in various situations. This charming, kindred little boy is serenading his folks with his “high tenor” voice. Music in his hand, a song on his lips and his other hand in his pocket! An extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine and made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory.
There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.
