This is the 1st album released in 1978 by Haruko Kuwana, a Japanese female singer who debuted in 1978 with the single "Motto Imagination" and continues to be active at her own pace.
Side A, titled "Hawaii Side," was produced by Mackey Feary, an original member of Kalapana and a leading figure in Hawaiian mellow groove. The Mackey Feary Band members, including Gaylord Holomalia (p, synth), David Yoshiteru Gibson (p, synth), and Kevin Daley (ds), participated. They covered songs from the masterpiece "Mackey Feary Band" released in the same year, as well as performing Kuwana's original songs with a light touch.
Side B, titled "L.A. Side," was produced by Bill Payne, a keyboardist who has participated in sessions for many artists since the 60s. Many LA musicians participated, showcasing a groovy West Coast sound.
