This Grafton China Mug from the 1930's, features the emblem of the Independent Order of Rechabites, Leeds District No.31. The Rechabites was a temperance-based friendly society founded in Salford in 1835. They promoted the total abstinence from alcohol. This collectable piece will make a valuable addition to any memorabilia collection. The opposite side features a picture of Joseph P. Crook, High Chief Ruler 1927-1929. The item is in good condition - no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some wear to the item however it is around 90 years old.
