Each player skillfully plays cards to win "tricks" or rounds, or sometimes to avoid winning specific tricks, in order to collect mythical creatures. The player who wins a trick receives a score chip depicting a mythical creature (Phoenix, Pegasus, or Hydra). At the end of each round, these chips are added as points. However, if a player takes the last chip of a certain type of creature, they must return all score chips of that creature type at the end of the game. Furthermore, all players will attempt to fulfill the prophecies of two Oracle cards during the game to earn additional score points. The player with the most points after a set number of rounds wins the game.
