This beautiful book, A Threefold Cord or A Precept, Promise, And Prayer From The Holy Scriptures For Every Day In The Year is an early American daily devotional printed by the American Tract Society, 250 Nassau-Street, New York. There are a few pencil markings, including a handwritten date, Aug 21st, 1891 in the front of the book. It appears to be primarily biblical excepts still applicable today. I find it amazing and awe inspiring that it has been 129 years since someone wrote the date in this book and it still survives. It must have been treasured.
