Thank you for viewing.

This is a lifelong legacy of Bernstein, who, after leaving the New York Philharmonic, made Vienna, the "City of Music," the center of his activities. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the maestro achieved great success not only in Vienna's symphony concerts but also in opera houses with works like *Der Rosenkavalier*, and was enthusiastically welcomed by the Viennese. He was so successful that he even outshone Karajan, and was recognized as an indispensable figure in the Viennese music scene.

It was only natural that Deutsche Grammophon, Germany's largest record company, made Bernstein an exclusive artist. Deutsche Grammophon, boasting the three great conductors of Böhm, Karajan, and Bernstein, produced masterpieces one after another with unstoppable momentum. The first of these was this complete Beethoven set.

While the old recordings with the New York Philharmonic were also magnificent performances, the new recordings heard here present an even more captivating Beethoven.

The grand passion of the *Eroica*,
The overflowing lyricism and the feast of dripping beautiful sounds of the *Pastoral*,
The magnitude and intensity of the emotional expression in the *Ninth*, from tragic suffering to joy. The profound taste of the Adagio rivals those of Toscanini, Walter, Furtwängler, and Böhm.
The extraordinary theatricality expressed in the *Fate*,
The *7th* is filled with a youthful vigor, even more so than the old recording, and the tempo is faster than the New York recording.
The *8th* is a brilliant performance full of wit and humor.

As Bernstein's legacy, coupled with the excellence of the recording, it is a masterpiece. The excellent performances of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th symphonies are also full of charm.

The record itself is in like-new condition with a beautiful gloss. The jacket is in a well-preserved state with little deterioration, which is hard to believe for a product from 50 years ago. It is on a different level from inferior products covered in scratches, mold, and sebum.

No price negotiations will be entertained.
